Well, yeah, it was snowy. The first night the snow was blowing so hard it was freezing on the truck and it looked and felt like a January hunt in early October! It was cold, but the snow melted during the late afternoon. Unfortunately, the cows were still out in the area that we could legally hunt deer and we saw almost nothing (i didn't see a single deer there). Across the road was off-limits for this "early hunt", and of course we saw dozens of deer over there, but we'll be ready for 'em in early November when that area opens up. We spent most of out time drinking beer and preparing for our upcoming regular firearms deer season. The picture is our new Buck pole, my buddy Jason doesn't like to do anything half-way as you can see. We also put up a couple of tree stands.
I wish I could get the whole week off, but it isn't in the cards. I'll have to confer with Beerkiller on when we'll be arriving, but we'll let you know soon.

Oh well, this way there isn't quite as much pressure on the rest of us, since you didn't set too a high a standard to follow!
We just had another 1/2 inch of rain at the farm, we may not even have any beans combined by Thanksgiving, much less any corn.
