Predator Call

Dad bought a new predator call at the Fremont Pheasants Forever banquet this weekend. He says it is supposed to be a pretty good one. Can't wait to try it out this year.

That sounds like a great time. With all the toys we are getting at the farm we won't have time to hunt Deer.

the predator call is a Bandit-M1, made by Minaskaoutdoors.com, IT was designed by a couple of young guys from Lincoln, NE, and then they sold a 1/2 interest for an obscene amount of money. It has 100 different calls, everything from a crippled mouse, a bobcat in heat, distressed rabbits, deer, raccoon, as well as mountain lion, wolf and coyote seranades. The elk bugle call is really something.

It has a remote that will controll all functions from up to 300 yards away, and the call itself is supposed to reach 1 mile, or more with an additional speaker. It is really loud in the house.

Do you suppose that would work to wake up to at deer camp, to have a mountain lion scream under your bed? What say "old hunter", think we can try it some day?

I had my left carpal tunnel surgery last week, getting along pretty well now, I will have the right one done in a couple of weeks.

Old farmer.

I assumed that we would just use the deer call and get them to come up to the porch in the mid morning so we don't have to wake up so damn early... say about 9:30 so we can start hunting pheasants at 10.

Talk to me in 5 more month and I'll tell everyone when it's time to hunt deer or not.I think I'll have to change my name by then too. From Deerkiller to Jonny Law.
