Old Farmer "We have seen a nice 5X5 a few times, usually around the building site on the east farm. We have a 3X3 and about 3 yearling does that spend almost all their time lying in the north tree strip. After driving past the buck about 5 times in about 2 hours, we finally got him to move when one of the guys shot a pheasant about 1 foot from him."
"I just got a phone call from our renters, we had about 1/2 inch of pure ice during the night, he said you can't even stand or walk on a gravel road, but so far no wind, so the power is still on. On Saturday, I was scheduled to pour new concrete footings around one of the big grain bins that the groundhogs had undermined, but will now have to do it the week you guys are here, can I recruit a couple of volunteers?"
"Looking forward to "watching" you guys hunt, the latest opinion from the state is that if my wife is living in Nebraska and is a legal resident there, and I am still married to her, I can't qualify for a resident license. "The qualifying term that GFP uses is 'domicle', not legal residence" I'm tempted to buy a license, send a photo copy to the Kingsbury County Attorney, and tell him to set a court date, so we can get this thing finally resolved. Oh Yes!, the new county attorney is now the attorney that represented me during my last problem."

Gary do you still have a couple of 22 rifles at the farm? If so We will get rid of some ground hogs too.
Yes we do, but the groundhogs are pretty much hibernating for the rest of the year. Old Farmer
I'm sure we could lend a hand. Hope that ice melts off before we get out there. Nelson, Pat, and I hunted deer for three days on a solid inch of ice about three years back. We decided that skates probably would have been better. I remember that Pat and I snuck up on deer pulling ourselves along on our bellies by grabbing corn stalks. You couldn't even walk in the bean fields. What fun!
