Idle Hands

So the bed of a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 is exactly 2" shorter and 1" narrower (at the tailgate) than a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. Why is this relevant? Well it means that if you decided to put the Truxedo from your old truck onto your new truck you would have to modify every single piece. (Ok, not the toolbox, but yes the tool box mounts).

But it worked, and only took five hours and an industrial sewing machine.

Its these kinds of projects that occupy Gentlemen of Leisure like me and The Old Farmer.

do you want to have us build a deer blind that will sit on top of your pickup box framework?

hey, thats really not a bad idea, the regs say you can't hunt from inside your vehicle, but i don't think they say anything about a blind that is attached to the vehicle.... a mobile truck bed blind might sell at cabelas too...

OK Question is it illegal if I drive the truck around without a firearm and someone sits in the blind and shoots at the game?
Answer In FL is no. This act is called buggy hunting and it has its own season at the end of the year.

LOL, leave it to Florida to make a season for it rather than outlaw it...

Another idea: how about a blind built on an old trailer frame? Cover the sucker in dried corn stalks and grass and just tow it wherever you want it.
